E-sale to be demonstrated at the 5-Year Anniversary Customer Appreciation Lunch on August 9th, 2010
Responding to the growing trend of online use of cattle producers, the Dryland Cattle Trading Corp. is launching an E-sale market on www.drylandcattle.com. The company sees the use of their web site grow every year, and the E-sale is a new marketing tool they want to provide to all the buyers and sellers who are using the site.
When asked about the new E-sale tool, Ian Goodbrand, co-owner commented, “I see this as a flexible option for buyers and sellers to trade large numbers of similar type cattle, without having to move them till they are sold. We have a target to see around 10% to 15% of our sales done through the E-sale.”
The E-sale has a number of advantages that Goodbrand is excited to offer. Shipping dates can be negotiated between the b user and seller for a time that works for both parties. Seller can also set a ‘Buy now’ price (much like Ebay) where buyers can choose to buy cattle immediately.
To celebrate their 5th anniversary Dryland Cattle is holding a customer appreciation Steak Lunch on August 9th from 11:30am to 1:00pm and they will demonstrate the E-sale. “We’ll be able to have buyers and sellers together to show them how the system works and how it will work for them.”
Located in Veteran Alberta, the Dryland Cattle Trading Corporation is right in the middle of ranch country. They consistently sell the highest quality calves in the province, marketing around 100,000 head of cattle annually.
